Himatangi Beach Water Treatment Plant upgrade
(Posted on: August 15)
There's a lot of work happening in Himatangi Beach at the moment. Their Water Treatment Plant is getting an upgrade which will give 24 hours of water storage capacity to the community and provide for the next 30 years of expected growth. The new design will also be built structurally to operate and continue to provide water in the event of a disaster or emergency.
As site works continue, an access track to the top of the main site has been constructed and a retaining wall has been constructed. The first cut-in to the live water mains took place last Tuesday successfully without any significant issues arising.
The project is expected to be complete by the end of September.
