The Manawatu District Council has been announced as a finalist in the 2019 Nintex Solution Innovation Awards in the ‘Public Sector Standouts’ category.

The Nintex Solution Innovation Awards recognise customer organisations from across the globe who are driving impactful and innovative business solutions leveraging the powerful and easy-to-use Nintex Platform.

“Nintex is honored to recognise the Manawatu District Council as a 2019 Nintex Solution Innovation Award finalist,” said Nintex Chief Customer Officer Josh Waldo.

“We were truly impressed by the innovative ways organisations are using the Nintex Platform to improve the way people work and drive impactful business results.”

MDC entered their Onboarding Processes which has the ability to automate business processes and improve the employee experience.

Manawatu District Council IT Systems & SharePoint Administrator Dan Sanders believed there was an opportunity to revolutionise the paper based process traditionally used for work flows.

“The goal was to eliminate roadblocks in the process, identify set up and training requirements early, ensure permissions were put in place and provide transparency to those who required it”, he said.

“We redeveloped paper based forms, condensed and replaced them with Nintex Forms which will capture the different stages of a form being filled out from start to finish for all the relevant parties. This means that a full history is captured, saving time and confusion.”

This piece of work also stems from a wider project around digital transformation and process improvement with the aim of improving the employee and customer experience which is a big focus for MDC.

Nominations were open to every organisation worldwide that turns to Nintex capabilities for successfully managing, automating and optimising a wide-range of business processes. Manawatu District Council are up against City and County of Denver and the National Research Council, Canada.

The worldwide winners of 2019 Nintex Solution Innovation Awards will be announced on June 3, 2019, and will also be celebrated at the 2019 Nintex ProcessFest conference in Bellevue, Washington.
