Taipo Road closed

(Posted on: April 4)

Taipo Road, Rongotea between numbers 107 to 257, will be closed from 27 March 2017 until 5 May 2017.

This is only a portion of Taipo Road that will be closed, between Green Road and Fairfield Road.

Road users are requested to follow the sign posted detours whilst the closure is in operation. Detours will be signed from Taipo Road, Cole Road and Rongotea Road.

The closure will occur so the existing small derelict Box Culvert Bridge over Sluggish Creek adjacent to the corner of Taipo Road and Highden Road, can be replaced within the current roading works site. Only residents will still be able to access their properties either side of the bridge.

All residents affected by this closure are advised to leave their blue MDC rubbish bags on the corner of Leen and Rongotea Roads for the truck driver to collect on allocated rubbish days until work is completed on Taipo Road.

Manawatu District Council regrets any inconvenience caused.
