This 4.05ha reserve is an attractive rural domain and former sportsground with associated facilities. The site has a number of mature deciduous trees. The former sportsfield at the rear is sheltered by pines and has a small grandstand. The site of the old tennis courts has been planted in a range of deciduous specimen trees.
As sports are now based at the school, the reserve has alternative uses - it is used by the Young Farmers for their annual field days, by the Pony Club and for overnight camping.
These include the grandstand, unused tennis pavillion, concrete barbecue, toilet block and a small shearing shed used by the Young Farmers on their field days.
This reserve is on Oroua Valley Road, just before Apiti township.
