Kimbolton Recreation Reserve

This reserve is actually in two sections over the road from each other. The 10.84ha section has native bush with tawa dominating and a walking track has been developed. The other 6.9ha section is leased for grazing.

The bush area is isolated and small. The edges vulnerable to drying wind and sun and infestation from weeds. School children and the local community, however, have been active in conservation work at the reserve.  This has led to a number of school programmes being developed and these continue to be supported.
