Parks and Reserves (including sports grounds) are where we go to have fun, relax, or be active, meet people and make part of our identity…all the things associated with recreation and much, much more.
Parks are places for people and nature where both can be at their best.
They are also places of experiences and retreat, to recharge and relax. Nearly all of us have a favourite park, one we‘re happy to take visitors to, or somewhere to vist again.
The Manawatu District is blessed with mature, long standing parks with outstanding features and many of them linked by walkways in a district that values these highly.
Feilding Skate Park
Feilding skate park is situated on South Street in Feilding and it will soon be relocated to another area in Feilding. Public are being asked for their thoughts on three proposed sites.
Halcombe Recreation Ground
This sportsground is managed by the Halcolmbe Recreation Association. Rugby clubrooms are over the road on private land.
The newly refurbished playground is proving a popular destination.
This sportsground is a popular venue for a number of sports.
The Feilding Old Boys/Oroua Rugby Football Club is one of the supporters of this Domain. The upgraded playground is proving popular with children.
The "sports" part of this park is the home of Feilding Cricket and is also a popular meeting point for a variety of informal sports clubs.
Swimming in the Oroua River, picnic-barbecue areas, a children's playground and a number of sports grounds feature within this family orientated park.
This park hosts Saturday morning rugby & other seasonal sports. The open space design also makes it popular for exercising your dog.
