Urban Fires Bylaw 2014
The purpose of this Bylaw is to allow Council to exercise control over fires in an Urban Fire District. The Bylaw is put in place in order to prevent the spread of fires in the Open Air, and to:
(a) protect, promote and maintain public safety; and
(b) prevent Nuisance from smoke, odour, debris or fumes.
The Bylaw also controls use of Barbecues and Traditional Cooking Fires and the storage of Combustible Materials, hay and silage in a safe manner.
