Round Two 2016/2017

A total of $10,969,00 was allocated.

Manawatu Writers’ Festival ($1,900.00) -  an opportunity for Manawatu writers, readers, and would-be writers from all walks of life in our diverse community, to gather at the Feilding Library to get together, celebrate writing, share discussions, listen to an exciting range of speakers and authors and have some fun, with like-minded people who are passionate or curious about aspects of the craft of writing.

Connected Media Charitable Trust ($1,500.00) – The Outlook for Someday Free One-Day Film-making Workshop in Manawatu – A free one-day film-making and talent development workshop that equips young people with the skills to generate ideas then use those ideas as inspiration to develop them into films that have the potential to engage and inform their communities.

EVENTO Wearable Art Awards ($3,000.00) – Secondary School Wearable Art Competition.

Hapaitia Kohanga Reo ($546.00) – Mokotini 2017 – Inter-kohanga reo kapa haka extravaganza.

Te Puanga Whakaari Theatre Productions ($1,000.00) – Dramaturg for Script Development/Rehearsal Workshop. Dramaturg means to the outside eye/provide guidance/establish and maintain the vision of the writing.

Whanau Ataahua Beautiful Families Trust ($1,043.00) – ‘Matariki’ – Celebration of Maori New Year/New Beginnings.

Urban Movement Dance Crew ($1,440.00) – Urban Movement Dance – Teaching programme of hip hop, drama, contemporary Latin and stage craft.

ReaLM ($540.00) – ReaLM Literacy Tour – an author tour to local schools and the wider youth community.

Round One 2015/2016

A total of $12,866.32 was allocated

Highland Dancing Association of Manawatu, Rangitkei and Wanganui - $50 - for cost of programmes for Highland Dancing competition to be held in Feilding in March 2016.

Te Kiko Trust - $3,500 - towards the cost of tutor’s fees and art materials for running five day workshops to five primary and intermediate schools in October.

T & C Promotions and Events - $6,000 - towards to cost of venue hire, advertising, PA and music equipment to run 12 free public performances of Feilding’s Front the Band concerts.

Rangiwahia Environmental Art Centre - $1,860.32 - towards the cost of venue hire, artists fess, materials, advertising and transport to run three ‘Have a Recycled Christmas’ workshops to be held in November.

Dance Unlimited Travel Group 2015 - $900 - towards to tuition of three dancers, Hattie Patching, Fleur Bailey and Stephanie Seymour attending Dance Experience in Sydney in October.

Halcombe Community Development Group - $556 - towards to cost of clay, glaze, kiln hire, metal rods, washers, crimps and promotion leaflets to run the Halcombe Ceramic Poppy Project workshops in February and March 2016
