Coastal Reserves Management Plan
The purpose of a management plan is to provide for
the use, enjoyment, maintenance, protection, preservation and appropriate
development of reserves within available resources. This provides the
community with certainty about the future of the reserves and enables the
Council to manage them effectively.

Annual Plan 2010/11
An Annual Plan is produced in years two and three of
the LTCCP. This Annual Plan, which is year two of the
LTCCP 2009-19, outlines Council’s work programme, performance
measures and budgets for the financial year 2010/11. It
also highlights any variations from what Council said it
would do in the LTCCP relating to 2010/11.

Report on Dog Control Activities 2008/2009
The Dog Control Act 1996 requires Councils to produce an annual report on the
administration of its dog control policy and its dog control practices. This document is the
sixth such report for the Manawatu District, and covers the financial year from 1 July 2008
until 30 June 2009.

Assessment of Water & Sanitary Services
Revised Report 2009
All local authorities were obliged to undertake an assessment of their water and sanitary services, in accordance with Part 7 of the Local Government Act 2002, by June 2005. A review of the Manawatu District's original assessment was undertaken in 2009, and the revised report is now available for download. The main focus of the assessment is to ensure
that the provision of these facilities is sufficient to ensure that public health is maintained.

Annual Report 2008/2009
The Annual Report sets out the overall financial picture of the council's operations for the year to June 30th 2009 and reviews the council's performance in respect of each activity published in the Annual Plan.

Manawatu Active Transport Strategy
The Manawatu Active Transport Strategy, for Pedestrians and Cyclists was released in 2007 as a joint venture between PNCC and MDC.
The goal was to work together towards a community where “More Manawatu people and visitors use active transport more often for travel, health and enjoyment”.

Himatangi Beach Concept Development Plan
The Himatangi Beach Concept Development Plan follows on from the 2007 Coastal Reserves Management Plan. The plan resolved to develop the reserve area between the camping ground and surf club and along Kaikokopu Stream at Himatangi Beach on the Manawatu coast. The development plan sets up design principles and provides a planting concept for the reserve. Click here for more information and downloads.
