Manawatu District Council manages and maintains the water network that supplies water to homes and businesses in most parts of the District.
Stormwater is rainwater that falls onto land and buildings, runs into gutters and downpipes, soaks into the ground or runs off hard surfaces into waterways.
Wastewater is drained from showers, sinks, washing machines, baths, toilets, and industrial premises. It’s comprised of 99.9 percent water and contains less than 0.1 percent other materials.
