Voting In The Manawatū Local Election
Have your say on who represents our community by voting in the 2022 local elections.
You can vote from 16 September to 8 October 2022.
Everyone on the electoral roll will be sent an enrolment update pack in the mail in the first week of July 2022. When you receive your pack, check your details are correct, including your address. If they’re correct, you don’t need to do anything. If they’re incorrect, please update your details by 12 August.
Find out how to update your details or enrol on our Enrolling to Vote page.
You will receive your voting pack from Manawatū District Council in the mail from 16 September 2022.
Simply fill out the form provided in your voting pack, seal it in the return envelope provided and pop it in your closest post box for free.
Alternatively, you can drop your completed voting pack into our Manchester Street office's reception area. We have a dedicated locked drop box for voting packs.
Your details are not printed anywhere on the voting form or return envelope, instead every voting form has a unique barcode.
If for whatever reason you don't receive your voting pack at your address, e.g. it's been lost in the post, eaten by snails, drowned by the rain etc, don't worry, you can still vote. You'll need to contact our Deputy Electoral Officer, Allie Dunn and she will support you to exercise a Special Vote in time for your vote to count.
