The Manawatū District Council collected feedback on the Feilding Library Redevelopment between 7 April and 8 May 2021. The consultation period has now closed.

Initiated in 2017, plans are now being developed to modernise, extend and carry out seismic strengthening to the existing Feilding Library Building, to ensure the building meets the needs of the community now and in the future.
Manawatu District Council originally budgeted the redevelopment for the 2020/21 financial year. The project was delayed due to further site and feasibility analysis requested by Council and the impact of COVID-19 on the availability of staff to progress the project (key project staff also held responsibilities during the emergency response which took priority). The budget of the library redevelopment has been carried forward and spread across the first two years of the 2021-31 10 Year Plan (2021/22 – 2022/23).
Before the redevelopment proceeds, Council is undertaking consultation with the community on the concepts. This is your opportunity to view the plans and share your thoughts before Tuesday 8 June.
