Manawatū District Council wishes to advise that PURSUANT to Section 342 (b) and the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, Eyre Street, from number 30 to the intersection with Denbigh Street will be closed overnight from 10.00pm Thursday 6 August until 7.00am Friday 7 August while Donnelly Contracting and Scanpower undertake Powerline maintenance.
Should weather or conditions outside of the contractors control delay the works, the closure will be undertaken on the next suitable dates.

Temporary Closures of Stafford Street and Bowen Street - Diwali
PURSUANT to Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Manawatu District Council, for the purpose of permitting Bhartiya Samaji Lower North Island Trust to conduct the Diwali 2026 celebration, proposes to close Stafford Street and Bowen Street as listed below to ordinary vehicular traffic from 1.00pm until 11.59pm on Saturday 17 October 2026.
Roads to be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic:
Stafford Street – from 54 Stafford Street to its intersection with Hobson Street
Bowen Street – from its intersection with Stafford Street to 44 Bowen Street
Any person objecting to the proposals is called upon to lodge notice of their objection and grounds thereof in writing, before 4.00 pm, Friday 7 August 2026, at the office of the Manawatū District Council, Private Bag 10001, Feilding, or email public@mdc.govt.nz. Any objections received by Manawatū District Council for this proposed road closure may be passed on to the Event Organiser. This may include contact details to allow the Event Organiser to make contact to discuss and attempt to resolve any concerns with the person/s submitting an objection.
Proposed Temporary Road Closure - Sandon Block Road Silver Fern Rally
PURSUANT to Section 342 (b) and the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its meeting on 2 September 2026 the Manawatu District Council intends to consider closing the roads as listed below for the purpose of permitting Ultimate Rally Group to conduct the New Zealand Silver Fern Rally 2026, on Thursday 3 December 2026 from 08.55am to 01.25pm. This closure is to allow for an amendment on the Peep-O-Day/Waipuru Stage.
Sandon Block Road - from its intersection with Waipuru Road/Mangamako Road until its change into Sandon Block Road Extension.
Sandon Block Road Extension - from its intersection with Sandon Block Road, until 200metres before its intersection with State Highway 54 (Cheltenham Hunterville Road)
* Note: To assist with the stage security, the closure is also to include 120 metres of each adjoining road, from where it intersects with the road being applied for.
Adjoining Roads: Mangatieka Road (no exit).

Manawatū District Council wishes to advise that PURSUANT to Section 342 (b) and the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, Turners Road Ext will be closed from number 137 until the road end starting 7.00am Monday 9 February 2026 until 7.00pm Saturday 31 October 2026 while a culvert installation and road extension works are undertaken.
Access to P.V. Webber Wools will be via Temporary Road from Turners Road at the Darragh Road intersection side.
