Temporary One Lane Closure of Mount Stewart Halcombe Road
Manawatū District Council wishes to advise that PURSUANT to Section 342 (b) and the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, a one-way closure will be in place on Mount Stewart Halcombe Road between Cemetery Road and State Highway 3 starting Tuesday 23 September until Monday 29 September 2025. Times of the closure will be 7.00am to 7.00pm daily.
During the closure all traffic traveling south from Sandon Road will be detoured via Cemetery Road.
Should weather, or conditions outside of the contractors control delay the works, the closure will be undertaken on the next suitable dates.
Temporary Closure of Manchester Square and Manchester Street
PURSUANT to
Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, NOTICE IS HEREBY
GIVEN that Manawatu District Council, for the purpose of permitting a private
organiser to conduct the Truckers Big
Day Out Fundraising event, will close the roads as listed below
to ordinary vehicular traffic from 08.00am to 2.00pm on Saturday 27 September
2025.

PURSUANT to
Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, NOTICE IS HEREBY

Feilding Promotions Inc to conduct Rural Day 2025,
will close the following roads listed hereunder to ordinary vehicular traffic
for the period as stated.

intersection with Bowen Street to its intersection with Fergusson Street
Perimeter Roads of
Manchester Square and the section of both Manchester Street and Kimbolton Road within

Goodbehere Street - from its
intersection with Manchester Square to its intersection with MacArthur Street.
Kimbolton Road closed to all large
trucks - from its intersection with Warwick Street to its intersection with
Stafford Street. Access available to car parks only for private motor vehicles.
Temporary Closure of Kairanga Bunnythorpe Road

District Council wishes to advise that PURSUANT to
Section 342 (b) and the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, NOTICE
IS HEREBY GIVEN that, Kairanga
Bunnythorpe Road will be closed from its intersection with Gillespies
Line to its intersection with Rongotea Road, between 7.00am
and 5.00pm on Wednesday 8 October and Thursday 16 October 2025, due to Power pole replacement work. Should weather or conditions outside of the contractors
control delay the works, the closure will be undertaken on the next suitable
date.

Samaji Lower North Island Trust to conduct the Diwali 2025
celebration, will close Stafford Street and Bowen Street as
listed below to ordinary vehicular traffic from 1.30pm until 11.59pm on
Saturday 11 October 2025.

intersection with Hobson Street
Bowen Street – from its intersection with Stafford

Temporary Closure of Pohangina Road - Makiekie Bridge Replacement
Manawatū District Council wishes to advise that PURSUANT to Section 342 (b) and the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act 1974, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, Pohangina Road will be closed to all through traffic from its intersection with Finnis Road to its intersection with Churchill Road , from 7.00am, 8 October 2025 while construction starts on the new bridge across Makiekie Creek (Coal Creek).
The new bridge is estimated to be open in February 2026.
Residents will continue to have access to their properties during the closure, all properties north of the Makiekie Bridge will need to use Pohangina Valley East Road and Churchill Road for access during the closure.

Temporary Road Closures - Targa Rally
PURSUANT
to Section 342 (b) and the Tenth Schedule of the Local Government Act
1974, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, the Manawatū District Council will
close the roads as listed below for the purpose of permitting Ultimate
Rally Group to conduct the Targa Rally 2025 on Saturday 18 October 2025.
Roads to be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic:
Stage SS24 and SS25: Pohangina - Takapari
Date of Closure: Saturday 18 October 2025
Time of Closure: 08:00am to 01:00pm
- Pohangina Valley East Road - from its intersection with Awahou South Road, to its intersection with Oroua Valley Road.
* Note:
To assist with the stage security, the closure is also to include 100
metres of each adjoining road, from where it intersects with the road
being applied for.
Adjoining Roads: No. 3 Line (no exit), No.2 Line (no exit), No. 1 Line (no exit), Opawe Road (no exit), Churchill Road (no exit), Arbons Road (no exit), Takapari Road (no exit), Piripiri Road (no exit), Makoura Road, Norsewood Road (no exit), Umutoi North Road (including Pettigrew Road, no exit), Tunipo Road (no exit) and Cawood Road (no exit).

- Main South Road - from 350 metres from its intersection with Table Flat Road/Nixs Road, to its intersection with Te Parapara Road.
- Te Parapara Road - from its intersection with Main South Road to its intersection with Rangiwahia Road/Ruahine Road
- Ruahine Road - from its intersection with Te Parapara Road/ Rangiwahia Road, to its intersection with Kawhatau Valley Road.
* Note: To assist with the stage security, the closure is also to include 100 metres of each adjoining road, from where it intersects with the road being applied for.
