No Spray Zone

As part of the Road Maintenance Contract, all rural grass verges are sprayed to help control the spread of noxious weeds and other plants.

A number of property owners are now requesting that their property frontage is not sprayed.  This could be for a number of reasons, however the main reason is for Organic Farming.

If you wish to be placed on the No Spray Register fill out a No Spray Zone Application (PDF file, 141.8 KB) and email it to us or drop it to the Council office (see our contact details). A set of two marker pegs costs $40 and this must be paid prior to inclusion on the register. Some properties may require more than one set due to length of road frontage or due to the property boundary bordering more than one road. Each additional set is a further $40 each.

To remain on the No Spray Register, you must follow the conditions as annotated in the application form.
