PURSUANT to Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Manawatū District Council, for the purpose of permitting Rongotea District Lions Club to conduct the Rongotea Christmas Parade, proposes to close the following roads listed hereunder to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period as stated: 

Roads to be closed: 

Thames Street - from Ouse Street to Tyne Street 

Mersey Street - from Severn Street to Humber Street 

There will also be no exit onto Thames Street from the following roads during the closure: Tamar Street, Medway Street and Avon Street. 

Any person objecting to the proposals is called upon to lodge notice of his/her objection and grounds thereof in writing, before 4.00 pm, Friday 17 October 2025, at the office of the Manawatu District Council, Private Bag 10,001, Feilding, email public@mdc.govt.nz. Any objections received by Manawatū District Council for this proposed road closure may be passed on to the Event Organiser. This may include contact details to allow the Event Organiser to make contact to discuss and attempt to resolve any concerns with the person/s submitting an objection.
