Welcoming Communities
The Welcoming Communities Programme is a collaborative initiative lead by Immigration New Zealand with 35 councils across both the North and South islands. The programme is designed to help create inclusive environments where all residence can thrive and belong.
MDC is proud to work alongside a number of organisations who participate in the Welcoming Communities Focus Group with a shared vision of bringing an understanding and appreciation to workplaces, organisations, clubs and events in turn strengthening the social, economic and cultural inclusion within the Manawatū District.

Welcome to Manawatū: A Cuppa & Connection
Are you new to the Manawatū District?
Whether you have moved here from another country, town, or region, Manawatū Community Hub Libraries warmly invite you to join a monthly morning tea. It's a welcoming space to meet others, share your story, and begin building connections in your new community.
Held on the third Friday of each month, from 10:00am to 11:30am at Te Āhuru Mōwai.
