2025 Manawatū District Roll Revaluation

A Rating Valuation (RV) is an indicative market value (excluding chattels) of a property on a particular date. Manawatu District Council uses Quotable Value Limited to carry out this process, this looks at many aspects of each property including the market sales, floor area, construction material and market trends.

This process is usually carried out every three years and is used by the council to assess what rate will be allocated to a particular property. Each council uses this value differently and with different apportionments.

This value is useful when comparing properties, but it does not take into account modifications made to properties that council do not know about, for example if you have upgraded your kitchen or bathroom. A current market appraisal may be a more accurate option.

Once you have been notified of the new valuation, you can object to the assessment if you think it is too high or low.

Objections to the revised valuations must be lodged, in writing or on line at www.ratingvalues.co.nz  no later than 12 December 2025

Objection forms are available from Manawatu District Council or Quotable Value Limited and should be posted to:
