2018 Māori Ward Poll
The final result for the Manawatu District Council Maori Representation Poll that closed on Tuesday 15 May 2018 is:

The majority of those electors who voted in the poll voted AGAINST the proposal.
I therefore declare that the proposal to establish a Maori Electorate Ward for the Manawatu District Council was DEFEATED.
The voter return was 44.47%, being 9,434 votes.
