Using the property information as at the rates strike on 1st July 2022 we do not have a classification for ‘urban’. We would need to understand what the person is meaning when they refer to urban – for instance Halcombe is listed as rural but some may call it urban.

A. Please provide confirmation that the other party has been charged under the Dog Control Act 1996, and if so what the charge is, and the penalty applied by the MDC.
Owner was infringed against both dogs: 2 x Sect 52A: Failure to Carry Leash in Public - $100.00 each
2 x Sect 52A: Failure to Keep Dog Controlled or Confined - $200.00 each
B. Statements relating to the incident provided by the other party, and the statement from another party
We have decided to refuse this part of your request under section 6(a) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act – 'Good reason for withholding official information exists, if the making available of that information would be likely (a) to prejudice the maintenance of the law, including the prevention, investigation, and detection of offences, and the right to a fair trial'.

The information you have requested is below.
1. Renewing a dog registration for 1 year -
2. A LIM for a residential property - $334.00
3. Parking for 1 hour on the main street in town – There are no parking fees in Feilding
4. 1 litre of water from the tap (but happy to take a different measurement of water rates if that one isn't possible) -
Manawatu District Council does not charge for water on a unit basis, as the Infrastructure does not allow this to occur.
5. Returning a library book 1 week late -
Overdue Fines Returned Late - up to 1 week overdue $ 1.00
Per additional week overdue (billed at beginning of each week, up to a maximum of 5 weeks - $5) $ 1.00
Note: Overdue fines are no longer charged on junior or youth account
6. Dumping 1 tonne of waste in the landfill - Please separate green and other waste if they are different price -
1 tonne of General waste is $275.80 incl GST and 1 tonne of Greenwaste is $43.00 incl GST
(please note this is the cost to dispose at the Transfer Station, not the rate for our disposal to landfill)
