Proposed Temporary Road Closures - ANZAC Day Memorials
PURSUANT to Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Manawatu District Council, for the purpose of permitting, Feilding RSA, Halcombe Community Committee and Apiti RSA to conduct their ANZAC day memorials, proposes to close the following roads listed hereunder to ordinary vehicular traffic on Saturday 25 April 2026 for the periods as stated.
Feilding
5.30am to 8.00am
Bowen Street – from its intersection with Warwick Street to its intersection with Manchester Street
Manchester Street – from its intersection with Bowen Street to its intersection with Fergusson Street
Kimbolton Road – from its intersection with Warwick Street to its intersection with Stafford Street
Manchester Square – including the portion of Goodbehere Street between Manchester Square and MacArthur Street
Halcombe
10.00am to 12.30pm
Stanway Road – from Railway tracks to Ingram Street
Willoughby Street – from number 78 to Levin Street
Apiti
9.00am to 12.00pm
Makoura Road - between Oroua Valley Road and Bryce Street
Any person objecting to the proposals is called upon to lodge notice of their objection and grounds thereof in writing, before 4.00 pm, Friday 13 March 2026, at the office of the Manawatū District Council, Private Bag 10001, Feilding, or email public@mdc.govt.nz. Any objections received by Manawatū District Council for this proposed road closure may be passed on to the Event Organiser. This may include contact details to allow the Event Organiser to make contact to discuss and attempt to resolve any concerns with the person/s submitting an objection.
