Hiwinui Community Committee
Hiwinui is located 12km north east of Palmerston North and 17km east of Feilding. Hiwinui is a rural setting where residents enjoy rural lifestyles while retaining an easy commute to Palmerston North or Feilding. The area is elevated above the relatively flat pastureland on a ridge, approximately 204 metres above sea level. Since the 1970’s, Hiwinui has developed into a rural residential community while maintaining it’s strong rural character. Hiwinui Community’s vision is that Hiwinui is a safe, walkable, socially connected and environmentally conscious community where sustainable future growth and development reflect the character of our rural environment.
