Response:
There have been no abductions or attempted abductions at any Council building/facilities.
You would need to contact the Police in regards to any parks or reserves as this is an area they would have dealt with.
Manawatu District Council has a policy on Child Protection but no specific policy or processes in relation to abductions.
At this stage we have no plans to create a policy for this and if there were any attempted abductions at our buildings/facilities the Police would be called to deal with the situation.
