LGOIMA Request Details: LG2494

I refer to your official information request dated 04/08/2026, requesting addresses for properties in Feilding township that have swimming pools. 

Manawatū District Council has considered your request under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA). 

Council has decided to withhold the addresses of properties identified as having swimming pools under section 7(2)(a) of the LGOIMA, as it considers that withholding this information is necessary to protect the privacy of the individuals associated with those properties. 

In reaching this decision, Council has considered the public interest in making the information available, as required by section 7(1) of the LGOIMA. While Council acknowledges the general public interest in transparency and access to Council-held information, it does not consider that, in this instance, the public interest in releasing a list identifying individual residential properties with swimming pools outweighs the need to protect individual privacy. 

Accordingly, the requested property addresses will not be released. 

I can confirm however that there are 373 properties that have a pool within the Feilding township.
