New Trustees Appointed for Feilding Civic Centre

Council has appointed two new Trustees for the Feilding Civic Centre Trust (FCCT), Sandra Crosbie and Sarah Manthel, while at the same time farewelled Allan Williams, retiring after over 11 years of service.

Sandra Crosbie and Sarah Manthel are both Feilding locals and began their first term with FCCT this October. Sandra Crosbie has extensive experience in public relations and strategic communications in local and central government, with journalism and financial business background. Sarah Manthel is a business owner and director of a digital marketing company, with vast technology, communication, marketing, business management and governance experience.

But as one handshake welcomes, the other bids farewell, as Council and FCCT said goodbye to Allan Williams, whose term ended in September after 11.5 years of service. Allan served as both a Trustee and as Deputy Chair during his 11.5 years.  Former Mayor Helen Worboys acknowledged Allan’s service in a heartfelt speech at a farewell morning tea. Sharing sincere gratitude on behalf of MDC and the community for his service, she praised his expertise in theatre operations and his leadership. His dedication kept things moving smoothly, always offering a helping hand alongside his wife Pip. Their support has been invaluable.

With the appointment of Sandra Crosbie and Sarah Manthel, and the farewell of Allan Williams, the board now consists of eight Trustees for the triennium.  Feilding Civic Centre Trust is a Council Controlled Organisation, with shared community-led goals and objectives. The board of Trustees' work towards the shared objectives; providing a local facility which promotes participation in arts, culture, recreation and sport.
