MDC operates a variety of funding schemes to assist not-for-profit groups, organisations and individuals to run, promote or participate in programmes or events.
The following funding rounds opened for applications on Sunday 1 March:
Creative Communities Scheme (closes 31 March)
The Creative Communities Scheme fund is administered by Council on behalf of Creative New Zealand. The fund supports creative opportunities in the Manawatū District that sees the community engaging with or participating in local arts activities.

Event Fund (closes 30 March)
The Event Fund supports events or festivals that primarily benefit the Manawatū District residents and align with the Community Development Strategy vision, that “Our District offers a high quality of life for all residents”.

Community Development Fund (One-off Services or Projects) (closes 30 March)
The Community Development Fund is a one-off allocation of funding, designed to empower communities to lead their own solutions that support connectivity, inclusivity, engagement and lifelong learning.
