Manawatū Funding Forum Returns This September
Following the success of the inaugural event in 2025, Manawatū District Council is proud to host the Funding Forum for a second year running on Friday 18 September 2026 from 2.00-5.00pm at Te Āhuru Mōwai (64 Stafford Street, Feilding).
Whether you’re involved in a community group, non-profit, business, organisation, local service, or simply looking for a way to bring an idea to life, Manawatū District Council’s Funding Forum gives you the opportunity explore available funding opportunities within the District, connect directly with funders from across the country and discuss which options may be right for your project.
Access to funding is vital for many groups and organisations within our communities. However, finding the right funding opportunity and understanding the application process is not always straightforward. The Funding Forum helps bridge this gap by bringing funders and potential applicants together in one place for open conversations, questions and advice.
Manawatū District Council's Grants Connector, Helen King, says the forum is about making funding information more accessible and helping local ideas move forward.
“Across our District, there are passionate people and organisations doing valuable work for their communities. The Funding Forum provides the opportunity to speak directly with funders, ask questions and better understand the support available.
“We encourage anyone with an idea, project or initiative in mind to come along, make connections and explore how funding could help bring it to life.”
Bring your ideas and questions to the 2026 Funding Forum and make the most of this free opportunity to connect with funders across the Manawatū. No need to RSVP, just drop in!
