Open for Applications: Community Development Priority Services Fund

Eager to make a difference in your community? Let’s get it underway.  MDC’s Community Development Priority Services Funding opened for impromptu round of applications on Friday 1 May, closing Sunday 31 May. Make the most of the opportunity, apply for the funding round and lead local solutions for the Manawatū District.

MDC’s Community Development Priority Services Fund has opened for applications, with a small pool of funding available for a two-year contract/s from 1 July 2026 until 30 June 2028. This fund typically opens every three years, with the next round scheduled for October 2027, which makes this an exciting opportunity for community groups to access remaining funding and put it to work where it is needed most.

The Community Development Priority Services Fund is designed to empower communities to lead their own local solutions and contribute toward Council’s vision of our District as a place to live, grow and offer a high quality of life for all residents for generations to come.  It's all about supporting local non-for-profit organisations, legally incorporated societies, charities, or partnerships to enhance community well-being, create a sense of belonging and foster social equity.

The funding round is only open until Sunday 31 May, so make the most of this opportunity! For the eligibility criteria and more information on the Community Development Priority Services Fund, visit: Community Development Fund | Manawatū District Council
