Representative Fund Now Open for Applications
MDC’s Representative Fund is now open for its annual round of applications, supporting our rangatahi to take part in eligible events held from 1 July 2026 onwards. Make the most of this opportunity and apply before the annual funding allocation is exhausted.
MDC’s Representative Fund is a well-known and widely utilised fund in the Manawatū District. The fund supports young people (both individuals and teams) in the Manawatū District who have been selected to represent their community, region, or country at recognised events, competitions, conferences, forums, or activities.
This year, adjustments have been made to the fund’s eligibility criteria to make it easier to understand who can apply and what support is available. To directly support our local rangatahi, applicants must live in the Manawatū District and be up to the age of 19 years old (at the time of the application). A tiered approach is also being introduced to the fund's distribution, depending on whether the eligible event is for a team, or for an individual attending a local, national or international event.
Applications open on Friday 19 June 2026 and will remain open until the annual funding allocation is exhausted. Review the eligibility criteria, make an application and make the most of this funding opportunity while it’s available.
