Proposed Temporary Road Closures - Rongotea Christmas Parade
PURSUANT to Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Manawatū District Council, for the purpose of permitting Rongotea District Lions Club to conduct the Rongotea Christmas Parade, proposes to close the following roads listed hereunder to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period as stated:
11.00am to 3.00pm Sunday 22 November 2026
Roads to be closed:
Thames Street - from Medway Street to Tyne Street
Mersey Street - from Severn Street to Humber Street
Douglas Square
Avon Street - from Severn Street to Humber Street
Any person objecting to the proposals is called upon to lodge notice of their objection and grounds thereof in writing, before 4.00 pm, Friday 23 October 2026, at the office of the Manawatū District Council, Private Bag 10001, Feilding, or email public@mdc.govt.nz. Any objections received by Manawatū District Council for this proposed road closure may be passed on to the Event Organiser. This may include contact details to allow the Event Organiser to make contact to discuss and attempt to resolve any concerns with the person/s submitting an objection.
