Problems With A Collection?

If your rubbish, recycling or food scraps were not collected, check the information below before reporting the problem to Council.

Before you report a missed collection check that:

  • your rubbish or recycling was out before 7:30am
  • you put it out on the correct collection day
  • you used the correct bin, crate or official MDC blue rubbish bag
  • your bin or crate was not overfilled
  • only accepted items were included
  • your bin was positioned correctly and could be safely reached by the collection vehicle
  • there are no current collection delays or service notices.

For rural collections, also check that your rubbish was placed at the correct collection point or on the correct side of the road for the collection route.

Severe weather, road closures, public holidays or other disruptions can also occasionally affect collections.
