Rangiwahia Community Committee

Rangiwahia means “piercing the sky”, “cloud piercer” or “opening in the heavens” and is named after the natural clearing of approximately 100 acres in amongst the tall trees of the virgin bush.

Rangiwahia is part of The Iron Gates Experience, a tranquil scenic area in the northern Manawatū. With easy access to the Ruahine Ranges, Rangiwahia has become a tramping destination and hosts Rangiwahia Hut; a beautiful 2-hour walk which has recently been upgraded by the Department of Conservation. Rangiwahia Community’s vision is to be a friendly, safe and tidy home for our farming community. A peaceful, beautiful and unique destination for our visitors.
