Rangiotu Memorial Hall

Rangiotu Hall was opened on 18th October 1905 funded by community donations and from that basic, square building it has grown over time. Extended forward in 1915 when there was a Military Camp at Rangiotu, it had further extensions to the front and a kitchen, supper room and stage were added in 1945 to welcome the World War 2 soldiers home. A projection box was added but removed in later years.

The main community events are, Anzac Service, Christmas Party, Craft Club every second Thursday, Bainesse School productions and prize giving and Family celebrations. It has served as the Civil Defence Centre in a number of floods. The location of this hall is 1130 Rangiotu Road (State Highway 56).
