| Response: | Following your approach to the Ombudsman regarding our decision to withhold information from the response to your request, we have reassessed our decision and the information you requested is below: How much did the bags cost. 5000 sandbags at 0.67c per item - $3350 +GST How much did the sand cost. $520.67 inc GST The majority of the sand was provided via the roading contract to clear sand from Tangimoana Road. This sand is usually delivered to the quarry, but instead was delivered to Victoria Park and the cost of this was covered by the roading contract. What company was used to purchase these items. The sand was purchased from Rangitikei Aggregates, the sandbags were purchased via Smart Pack Limited. We trust that this now fully answers your request. |
