One, Makino Aquatic Centre (MAC) What is the maximum number of swimmers allowed in at a time, at each facility?   Indoor 25m pool: 111 Indoor Play Pool: 36 Indoor Learn to Swim Pool: 45 Outdoor 50m Pool: 324 Outdoor Play Pool: 54 Outdoor Dive Pool: 36 How many days was each facility closed this year, outside normal days they are shut, up to September 30th? From 1 January 2023- September 30th, 2023, the Makino Aquatic Centre has had 3 closure days due to Public Holidays, and 4 additional days of reduced Public Holiday opening hours (10am-6pm). During this period the facility has also had one full closure day due to staff bereavement and one half-day closure for staff training and development.  How many days was each facility partially closed this year, up to September 30th? This average reflects overall lower visitor numbers due to Covid-19 related closures and restrictions.   What was the reason for the closures and partial closures? The facility was closed from 17th August 2021- 8th September 2021 due to Covid response Alert Levels 4, and 3.   The facility was closed for 4 days from 14th December 2021 for full facility flooding as a result of weather events within the region.   |
