Feilding Industrial Area Growth Works & Turners Road Extension

Through Plan Change 52 Industrial Zone, Council has enabled industrial growth in Feilding in the existing industrial area off of Kawakawa Road, Darragh Road, and Turners Road, as well as an extension of the industrial area towards the Ōroua River. This area is known as the Kawakawa Industrial Park.

Turners Road Extension

The Turners Road Extension project will enable access and servicing to over 24 hectares of high quality industrial land in the Kawakawa Industrial Park in Feilding for further development. The attraction of businesses to the area adds to the long term economic growth of the Manawatū District.

Stage One of the Turners Road Extension was completed in February 2024. This stage saw the construction of all underground services (wastewater, water, stormwater, trade waste, power, phone, and fibre), the widening and sealing of the new road, and shoulder widening of the road entrance.

The completion of Stages 2 and 3 will be developed across 2025/26 and 2026/27 to work within available budgets.
